Green Businesses conserve energy, water, materials and other natural resources; develop and implement practices that prevent pollution and waste; comply with all applicable regulations and strive to exceed compliance; and most importantly they strive for continuous improvement. Green Businesses also work to educate employees and customers about resource conservation.

• Organizations of all sizes are encouraged to apply.
• Businesses are encouraged to include information for all categories.
• Scoring will be based on overall performance.
• A special award will be made for each of three categories: Small Business (1-10 employees), Medium Business (10-50 employees), and Large Business (51+ employees)
